The Estrella Damm Catalunya Championship will also be the first DP World Tour event to be held at the Real Club de Golf El Prat since the 2015 Spanish Open, coming to the schedule at a historic venue where players of the calibre of Seve Ballesteros, José María Olazábal, Tom Watson and Lee Trevino have won.
This event, part of the 2026 Race to Dubai, is associated with the 2031 Ryder Cup project. Spain will be the first country in continental Europe to host the world’s best team golf tournament twice.

The Estrella Damm Catalunya Championship, a DP World Tour tournament included in the Race to Dubai as first event of the European Swing, is held thanks to the essential collaboration of the Real Club de Golf El Prat. It is sponsored by Estrella Damm and will kick off the Road to 2031 Ryder Cup, a journey that will end at the 2031 Ryder Cup to be held at Camiral.
